This class is all about deep-relief carving using ball burs. I’ll show you how to make a ring to size then carve out a pattern, first using a steel ball bur, then refining the pattern with a silicon carbide bur. Once the carving is perfected we’ll frame it between two skinny rings then apply a bit of texture and patina. Along the way I’ll demonstrate a bunch of tips and tricks that can be applied in all sorts of situations, not just this project.
