“Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Boyd.

Alex, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was born into a family of artists. My mom is a printmaker, my aunt a ceramicist, and my uncle a jeweler. My whole life, I’ve made things with my hands. After studying art history and design in college, I opened my own studio cutting gemstones and making jewelry. While I love making my work it’s also important to me to serve my community. That’s why I teach my craft whenever I can. I teach at least one workshop a month at the Boulder Metalsmithing Association in Boulder, CO and travel a few times a year to teach at various jewelry schools around the country…”
